Packing your own house takes longer than anyone ever expects. A 3-bedroom home needs around 60-80 boxes, miles of tape, bubble wrap, packing paper, and the patience to do it room by room without putting fragile items next to heavy ones.
Most people start a week out thinking they’ve got plenty of time. Come moving day, they’ve packed the kitchen and nothing else, and spend the night before frantically shoving stuff in bags.
We pack a 3-bed house in a single day, properly. Fragile items go in the right-sized boxes with the right protection. Every box gets labelled with room and contents. Furniture gets blanket-wrapped. Nothing gets broken in transit because nothing is packed badly.
Full packing vs. partial packing
Full packing
Our team does everything. We arrive the day before your move (or the morning of, for smaller homes) with all materials. We pack room by room, labelling as we go. You don’t touch a box.
Good for: bigger homes, busy professionals, anyone short on time before completion.
Partial packing
You handle clothes and the easy stuff. We handle the fragile, awkward, and annoying stuff — kitchen crockery, glassware, artwork, lamps, electronics. Often works out best value.
Good for: cost-conscious moves, families with older kids who can help, or if you want to pack personal items yourself.

- Small, medium, large, and extra-large boxes (strong double-walled)
- Wardrobe boxes with hanging rails — clothes go straight in on hangers
- Dish packs with cell dividers for glassware and crockery
- Mattress covers, sofa covers, TV boxes
- Tissue paper for china and glass, bubble wrap for electronics
- Packing tape, labels, marker pens
Cost
Full packing adds roughly 20-30% to a standard removal quote. Partial packing is quoted based on the rooms you want us to handle. For a typical 3-bedroom full pack, expect around £400-£700 including all materials.
Boxes only? We also sell boxes and materials if you’re packing yourself. Ask for a materials-only quote.
Unpacking
We can also unpack at your new address. This isn’t “unwrapping everything” — it’s placing unpacked items on surfaces, removing empty boxes, and leaving you with a habitable house rather than a box mountain. Usually charged by the hour.
