Man and van — flexible, hourly, no fuss
From single items to small moves. Giant Luton vans, trained crews, hourly rates from £60/h across London and Surrey.
When to use our man and van service
Man and van isn’t for every job. If you’re moving a whole 4-bedroom house, you probably want a full removal. But for plenty of other situations, a man and van is the right tool:
- Student or studio flat moves
- Single-item deliveries — a sofa, a wardrobe, a new mattress
- Collecting furniture you’ve bought second-hand
- Moving one or two rooms of a shared house
- Taking stuff to storage or the tip
- Office or commercial pickups and deliveries
Pricing — straight talk
We charge by the hour. The hourly rate covers the van, the fuel, the team, and goods-in-transit insurance. There’s a two-hour minimum because even a five-minute job takes a chunk of someone’s day.
1 Man + Van
Smaller jobs, single items, deliveries
2 Men + Van
1-2 bed flats, most common option
3 Men + Van
Bigger loads, heavy furniture, stairs
All vans are giant Luton vans — 650+ cubic feet, with tail lifts and straps. Most 1-bedroom flats fit in a single load.
What our crews won’t do
We’re straight with people — some things aren’t a good fit for a man and van service:
- We won’t move pianos, safes, or anything over 100kg without extra planning
- We don’t do international or long-distance same-day (ask about our regular removal service for that)
- We won’t ram items into a van that doesn’t fit them, or promise a two-hour slot for a job that needs four
We’d rather tell you honestly upfront than show up and disappoint you on the day.
How to book
Use our quote form with your addresses and a rough idea of what you’re moving. We’ll confirm the right crew size, give you a price estimate, and book your slot. Usually we can do next-day and we’re open 7 days a week.
